Here is a video of Steve Martin singing/dancing as King Tut on Saturday Night Live in 1979 after a traveling exhibit of King Tut's tomb was announced. Enjoy I think it will crack you up.

The curse
When you hear the word curse you usually think of ghosts or haunted houses. King Tut's curse was one of the unexpected curses because nobody really knew (wanted to anounce it... TIGER WOODS) that there was a curse going around within the explorers personal lifes (what nobody really knew about it... again TIGER WOODS... Yes I know that I am changing the subject but lets get back on subject.) One of the explorers, Lord Carnrvorn fell ill by a infected mosquito bite that developed pneumonia and he dide on April 5, 1923. Another example of the curse was that one of Howard Carter's pets died shortely after after being attacked by a predator. Howard Carter knows that he shouldn't of done that and he is taking a break of his career to try to get his family back together... wait a minute that is TIGER WOODS. O.K. maybe talking about Tiger Woods is worth making another blog so I will stop talking about him in the rest of this blog.

A little about King Tut's tomb
Here's a little story about King Tut's Tomb found by Thedore Davis and Howard Carter in November of 1922 at the Valley of The Kings. OK mabe singing it for you isnt a good idea but anyway within a few days tourists and media from all over the world came but Carter feared that somone would steal everything from the tomb when the tomb was open. Thats kind of a good idea... not that I would try to rob it but of course I wouldn't because I'd probally never get a chance to visit The Valley of the Kings. The items above are pictures of some of the stuff found in Tutakhamun's tomb but there are like 20 more items that were found in his tomb including a doll like King Tut mummified in his Sarcophagus. More about his tomb at http://www.kingtutone.com/ At the beginning of 2009 Archeologists anounced that they are going to refurbrish King Tut's tomb within 2010 and 2012. Without going to Egypt to see his tomb there is a traviling exhibit around the United States of King Tut's tomb that is almost exactly like the real Tomb.
Mummification and Tutunkhamon
You have probally heard of Mummification and everything that Mummification is about but I'm not going to go into the steps of mummification but you are about to find out if King Tut was mummified on the next Are you Smarter than a 5th grader LOL. King Tut was mummified but he wasnt one of the Pharoh's that had a big fancy tomb under a pyramid made just for him because but he had a big fancy tomb at Crocidile Alley haha just kidding he had a big fancy tomb at The Valley of the Kings. King Tut was so young and he didn't rule long to acomplish somthing that was exciting for the Egyptians also most Egyptians didnt like him because he was so young. -----------------------------------> That picture is a Non Fictonal picture and was made to joke about King Tut
King Tut ruled from... untill...
Tutankhamon became king at around 1360 B.C. When he was about 10 or 11 years old.Wow, at that age King Tut probably had NO Government experience because I know I had no experience at that age; well this isn't Ancient Egypt this is America where we can't be apart of the Government that young. As I was saying he took throne at 10 or 11 years old after (evil) Akhenaten died. When King Tut died in 1352 B.C., the 2 people who guided King Tut took the job as Pharaoh or king (OK whatever you want to call it.) The first one was Ay and then Military leader Horemly red who took throne after Ay died. Alright so as you read you probally learned a little more details so its time for a quiz... LOL you really think I'd give you a quiz? Fooled ya!

King Tu-a-what?
King Tut... King Tut... King Tut... WHO IS KING TUT?!?!?!?! That's what I was thinking when I first started doing research for this blog. Anyway King Tut or Tutankhamon was born in 1341 B.C. and died in 1323 B.C. He is son of Akhenaten and one of his wifes, that's probably who Tiger Woods got influenced by LOL, ok back on subject, Akhenaten died when King Tut was around 10 years old and took throne as Pharaoh, (only if we could be president that young) until he died at age 20 by a head injury more about that in a future post. King Tut came more known to the world in late 1922 when Howard Carter, wait a minute Howard is a weird name. Where were we? Oh ya we were talking about Howard Carter in 1922 when he found King Tut's tomb at The Valley of Kings which was so exciting because Tutankhaman's tomb was one of the only tombs that wasn't robbed by grave robber. Give me your gold/amulets/wealth mummy! NO! King Tut's Tomb wasn't robbed because he wasn't that rich with Amulets because he was only alive for about 20 years. Wasn't he too young to even be able to get that stuff anyway? That's a answer that can vary by what the Egyptian who is selling it to a certain age limit or a whole lot of money. You are probally wondering how to pronounce Tutankhaman so here it is Tut-ank-ham-on.
